This Christmas morning over 10 million children in Africa will wake up on the street, having no idea where their Christmas dinner will come from!

This December take part in a sponsored Fast or an event of your choice and make a real difference in the life of a child this Christmas.

At Christmas time, we spend even more on ourselves, our friends and family....

In the UK alone we will spend over £14 billion on presents
On average each person will have £310 spent on them
£1.6bn going on food and drink.
In the UK we will eat 10 million turkeys
25 million Christmas puddings
250 million pints of beer
35 million bottles of wine
7 million children leave mince pies and a drink for Santa on Christmas Eve.

Today in Africa many children live on the streets. Their only water supply is a muddy sewer. Their food is often found in rubbish tips. Their bed is where-ever they can find to shelter them from their harsh reality.Children like Emmanuel was found at Christmas in a plastic bag in a rubbish tip, someone heard a weak cry. So many babies are being abandoned for unknown reasons, some are meant to be found, and some are thrown away as if rubbish.

Across the world there are over 100 million children on the streets

Idea 1- Dear Santa (I don't want as much)
Ask our family, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, wife/husband, dog, postman etc to give 25%, 50% or 75% of what they would expect to spend on us, to Children in Africa. Its as simple as that. Imagine how much of a difference even a few of us could make together by doing this.

Idea 2- Gift Vouchers for pressies
Instead of buying lots of chocolate, socks, perfume and a Jamie Oliver cook book etc for our family and friends, lets buy them alternative presents.e.g A goat for an African family, clean water for a family, or a voucher to throw a Christmas party for Street kids.
